Projects, Programs and Portfolios


Project is temporary endeavor undertaken to produce unique product, service or result with definite beginning and end

Projects are subsets of Programs and Programs are subset of High level Portfolios.

Program is a group of related projects to harmonize the objectives of various projects and have coordinated benefits not available from executing projects separately.

PMO:

o Monitor compliance for project policies processes etc
o Communication between projects
